Can I customize tool prompts?

Three levels of customization

1. Inputs (everyone)

Every tool has form fields and an "Additional context" textarea. Use the textarea to add constraints, examples, or directives.

2. Advanced settings (everyone)

Click Advanced on any tool to expose:

• Model selector
• Temperature (0.0 deterministic ↔ 1.0 creative)
• Max output tokens
• Output format (Markdown / Plain / JSON / HTML)

3. Custom prompt overlay (Pro)

Pro users see an Edit prompt button. This opens a side panel showing the system prompt that's normally hidden. You can:

• Add prefix instructions ("Always start with a question.")
• Add suffix instructions ("End with a CTA to subscribe.")
• Reference your saved variables ({{my_company_name}}, {{target_audience}} — set at /account/variables/)
• Save the modified version as a personal tool variant (Pro: 20 variants; Agency: unlimited)

Your variants appear in your dashboard under My Tools and use the same UI as built-in tools.

Sharing variants

Agency tier can publish variants to the marketplace. Earn affiliate commission when other users run them.
